Hook Ups and Screw Ups
About 2:30 in the morning and I'm still awake beginning what is to be 2 days off from work. I have a lot of errands to run- see about getting my car fixed, finally get a haircut, take care of bills... I never have the time to do these things during the work week.
I came home tonight and quickly grabbed the bottle of Jameson on my wine rack and poured myself a drink in my "Gary is my Nizzle" glass with Gary Coleman's face on it, and slipped on my tempurpedic slippers. Thank God for these Christmas gifts, they make the after hours great. After dinner, I ran to Blockbuster to pick up Harold & Kumar and Wicker Park. A few months ago, someone screwed up my account so I ended up with a couple months on the freedom pass for free. I don't know if they have bad employees there or something but tonight's visit ended with another free rental voucher. While I was at the register, the guy behind the counter was ballsy enough to say, "Get me a bottle of water right there" as he pointed at the beverage case. All I said was "excuse me" since I wanted to hear him talk himself out of this one, but he had no shame and said, "I should be on my break so if you grab me a water we can speed up the process.".
Punk bitch. I guess he thought there was nothing wrong with what he was requesting, or even how he made his request, so in a loud voice all I could say was, "Go on your break on your own time and don't make me a part of it. So ring up my damn movies now and get your own damn water.".
There weren't any other customers in the store but the manager heard me and quickly came over and apologized and made the guy behind the counter say sorry as if he was a 6 year old. He then handed me free rental vouchers. The past two months have been great. I haven't had to drop a single cent in that store. Hopefully they employ more rude screw ups.
Right now I have two Krispy Cremes and two cups of coffee fueling my system and I can't sleep. I found out that my blog looked all messed up on MSIE (thanks for the heads up fool) so I've been fixing that during these early morning hours while listening to The Game's new CD The Documentary. It's supposed to be out on the 18th but I got the hook up from someone at work (at least some of these guys are good for something). Pretty cool CD, its been pushed back over and over, but I think as long as The Game is with G-Unit, he will never live outside the shadow of 50 Cent. 50 easily outshines him on all the tracks. Actually the best tracks are the ones that aren't produced by Dre. His beats and piano licks all sound the same now.
Check out this full track, Envy Me. Cool sampling... reminds me of pre-Death Row 2Pac.
I should sleep...
