A Generous G and a Cheap SOB
Formula 1's Michael Schumacher is one generous G. He'll be writing a check worth over 10% of his annual earnings. With endorsements, he makes about $80 million a year and will be giving $10 million of that to south Asian tsunami victims. Schumacher's donation is more than half of what the US government originally planned to give.
The US is now donating $350 million after much criticism over the original $16.9 million pledge. Bush's coming inauguration is said to cost about $40 million. I hear Lyle Lovett will be playing. Who gives a damn?!
