My Obligatory 2006 Laundry Bag Review
What the hell did I learn in 2006...
Is there a beginning and an end...? Two gin and tonics, two slices of pizza, two cigarettes, wash... rinse... repeat... program iTunes to replay the track "Smokey" from Red House Painters a second time, another two shots followed by another cigarette...
Wash... all I know is that the one big thing that makes you fall is when you don't know exactly what you don't know. And if you would rather have not known and make all events a wash in your mind, then you haven't really lived.
Rinse... all I know is that the one big thing that stops us from moving is when we try to fix what we have broken by repairing it with the pieces we slowly broke it down with. All attempts to rinse what is lingering will never erase what will always be unforgotten.
Repeat... all I know is that the one big thing that keeps us breathing is that we can pretend that there is neither a beginning nor an end even when you are broken down and karma has caved you in. All the magic in our lives is not contrived.. the magic just happens.
One thing that I once told someone... "Be careful with what you say, I just might make it happen when you least expect it...". And when you make even those little things happen, it makes all the difference in the world.
Everyone that was a part of my life in 2006 and everyone that I at one point lost contact with, found, and seemingly lost once again...
...it all repeats. I will find you again. You haven't been washed and rinsed in my mind... there is no beginning or end.
Summers may end with a storm, but the sky eventually drizzles then dries...
What kind of philosophical caffeine-nicotine fueled bullshit is this? It's just a repetition of my Sunday morning ritual of people watching and crackberry typing at Peet's Coffee. It may be contrived but there's some kind of magic when you sit outside with your favorite coffee and some cigarettes.
Repeat...
